152: Instant Fish Food | English | Printed

by Gunter's Fables

Cruise liners are one of the worlds worst polluters. The ships release extremely high fuel emissions and food waste. This lowers oxygen in the ocean, creates acid environments, releases wheat with gluten, and causes a nutrient imbalance for fish and birdlife in ocean waters. This Fable also investigates the massive wastage of food around the world and asks how we can become more efficient in getting food to market and solving the problem of world hunger.

This Fable was inspired by Patricia Appeagyei. As Deputy Minister of Environment, Science and Innovation, and chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Local Government, she has campaigned and has taken punitive action against waste companies that dump septic waste into the ocean around Accra.

Gunters Fables are structured to include the following learning guides and categories: Did you Know, Think about it, Teachers and Parents Guide, Academic Knowledge, Emotional Intelligence, The Arts, Systems: Making the Connections, Capacity to Implement and who the Fable is Inspired By!
