by Gunter's Fables

Oysters are not just a culinary delight. In fact, they are critical to the ecosystem of the ocean. They absorb heavy metals and other pollutants to keep the sea clean and healthy. That’s not all; their shells are useful too! This Fable highlights the need for humans to be mindful of natural habitats and to regenerate what we harvest.

This Fable was inspired by Gauthier Chapelle. He initiated the CO2SolStock project, which is aimed at developing carbon sequestration as a result of calcium carbonate bio-precipitation. This was inspired by the way bivalves produce their shells.

Gunters Fables are structured to include the following learning guides and categories: Did you Know, Think about it, Teachers and Parents Guide, Academic Knowledge, Emotional Intelligence, The Arts, Systems: Making the Connections, Capacity to Implement and who the Fable is Inspired By!
