153: Making Chains | English | Printed
The existence of ecosystems is a discovery for humans, and we can learn a lot from the ocean's ecosystems. All life came from water! We focus on the role of Salps in acting as a carbon sink as well as their ability to clone. This Fable opens our eyes to the delicate equilibrium of ocean species and the critical role that they play in the sea.
This Fable was inspired by Kelly Sutherland. Her goal is to better understand how marine organisms interact with each other. Kelly has worked in Panama, France, Norway and the USA. She has received the 2016 Sloan Award in Ocean Sciences.
Gunters Fables are structured to include the following learning guides and categories: Did you Know, Think about it, Teachers and Parents Guide, Academic Knowledge, Emotional Intelligence, The Arts, Systems: Making the Connections, Capacity to Implement and who the Fable is Inspired By!
