32: Zebra Aircon | English | Printed
This Fable focuses on two of the “coolest” creatures found in the arid African landscapes. Both the Termite and the Zebra have developed sophisticated aircon systems which use very little energy in comparison to our cumbersome versions. Passive aircon can be replicated and built into our skyscrapers and buildings, and we can drastically reduce our energy consumption!
This Fable is inspired by Janine Benyus who has evolved the Biomimicry practice by consulting for sustainable businesses, academics, and government leaders, giving worldwide seminars about what we can learn from the genie surrounding us: natural organisms with good adaptation designs that have been proven successful over 3.8 million years.
Gunters Fables are structured to include the following learning guides and categories: Did you Know, Think about it, Teachers and Parents Guide, Academic Knowledge, Emotional Intelligence, The Arts, Systems: Making the Connections, Capacity to Implement and who the Fable is Inspired By!
